Gary Sneag, O.D., F.C.O.V.D
has practiced optometry since 1977 and has lectured and presented at various conferences for several years. He specializes in the field of vision therapy and enjoys the challenges of fitting all kinds of contact lenses, diagnosing and treating disease, as well as prescribing low vision aids for visually impaired patients. He also enjoys managing his patients for refractive surgery.

Melanie Langford, O.D.
is licensed in the treatment and management of ocular disease with therapeutic pharmaceutical agents, primary open angle glaucoma, and lacrimal irrigation and dilation. Dr. Langford practices full scope optometry and she enjoys working with patients of all ages, especially children. She also specializes in the fitting of CRT lenses for myopia control and scleral contact lenses for various eye diseases. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outside with her husband Matt, 2 children, Jack and Eloise, and her dog, Leo.

Lori – Office Manager
Lori is a San Diego native. She is our Office Manager and has been with us for 25 years. When she is out of the office she enjoys spending time with her husband, Miki, daughter, Salem, and twin sister, Lisa. She also loves reading and is passionate about yoga.
Tori – Optometric Technician
Tori begins your examination and performs all of the vision diagnostic tests required before you see the doctor. She is a UC Santa Barbara graduate, Clairemont native, and the office crazy cat lady. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and searching for the perfect carnitas taco.
Rina – Dispensing Optician
Rina joined our office in 2010 and brings with her over 18 years of experience. She manages our frame inventory and can easily pick out the ideal frame for our patients. During her free time, she loves watching basketball/football, hiking and trying new restaurants with her husband Craig.
Jennifer – ABO Certified Optician
Jennifer is an American Board of Opticianry (ABO) Certified optician. She assists patients with selection and adjustment of eye wear as well as pretesting. She recently moved to San Diego from the Bay Area and spends her free time cooking, hiking, and exploring her new home.
Javier – ABO Certified Optician
Javier is an American Board of Opticianry (ABO) certified optician and possesses over 19 years of experience in the optical field. He assists in laboratory production and with frame selections. On his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and watching his son play baseball.
Sarah – ABO Certified Optician
Sarah is an American Board of Opticianry (ABO) certified optician and has been in the optical field for over 8 years. She is our care coordinator for refractive surgeries and is our social media manager. As a transplant from Texas, she enjoys exploring Pacific Beach and all the landmarks of San Diego.
Christina – Vision Therapist
A San Diego native, Clairemont has been Christina’s home for the last 13 years. Wife and Mother of two boys her weekends are spent with her family usually on a baseball or soccer field. Christina’s passion is to empower patients in reaching their fullest potential. She has a strong belief that with understanding, patience and a positive mindset, anything can be accomplished.
Mary – Vision Therapist
Mary started working as a vision therapist for Family Vision Care in 2004. She loves working with children and their families through the vision therapy program! Mary has a B.S. in Psychology and experience working with children of all ages. Outside of the office, Mary stays busy as a mother of two girls, ages 5 and 1.
Student Interns from UCSD volunteer in our office to help them decide if optometry is the right profession for them. The interns help the office staff in a variety of ways and often sit in with the doctors during eye examinations and vision therapy sessions.
