In-Office Advanced Technology
Oculus Keratography - We are very excited to debut the
newest technological addition to our office. With the Oculus,
we can finally offer our patients a more objective and
comprehensive dry eye diagnosis. The Dry Eye Report
consists of a series of tests that evaluate the three most likely
causes of dry eye: abnormal tear production, dysfunction of the glands that secrete oil, and damage of corneal cells that create lubricating mucin. The Oculus also takes detailed corneal
topography, which evaluates the shape and curvature of the
cornea and is utilized in the fitting of contact lenses and Lasik
Optomap retinal scans- We are extremely proud to offer our
patients the ability to digitally scan the image of their retinas
without dilation of their pupils. This offers incredible technology without any inconvenience or discomfort. (It literally takes 2
minutes of your time to have an image forever.) Our goal is to
monitor your eye health from year to year.
OptoVue: Ocular Coherence Tomography (OCT) - This
equipment provides an advanced evaluation of the retina,
cornea, and optic nerve to definitively diagnose and rule out
pathology like glaucoma.
FDT- A quick and effective way to evaluate visual fields, both
peripheral and central vision
Marco: auto refraction, auto keratometry, auto tonometry -
Gives an estimate of your current prescription by measuring
how light is changed as it enters your eye. It also provides
corneal measurements and intra-ocular pressures.
Anterior Segment Photography - An easy and comprehensive method to document and photograph the front area of the eye.
Visagraph - An objective measurement of eye tracking during
the act of reading. This is essential in the evaluation and
remediation of poor eye tracking skills which may result in poor reading skills.
Santinelli Edger - Allows us the ability to manufacture
eyeglass lenses in-office in our high tech lab.
Essilor Tablet - Allows us to accurately define prescribed, free-form digitally surfaced eyeglass lenses.
